Staff Spotlight: Meet Jim Niewiarowski

Jim is living proof that you never stop growing and never stop learning. Jim started his work life where many a youth starts a career: McDonald’s! But that was just a launching pad. Jim has had a far-ranging career in a broad range of industries: food service, telecommunications, and medical products. Eight years ago, Jim decided to change course yet again to become a real estate agent. All that may sound like a pretty zig-zaggy sort of career path until you realize that all of it has been part of his real mission in life: serving other people. 

The fact is, Jim did come to real estate pretty late in his career, but his interest in real estate has always been sitting there in the back of his mind. He was intensely involved in his own home-selling and -purchasing experiences, and, when he decided to begin a new professional chapter in his life, real estate seemed like a natural shift.

His real estate career began in Southern California, but he and his wife decided to relocate up north several years ago. Ever since then, he has been a listing and buyer’s agent at The Legacy Group, assisting both sellers and purchasers primarily in the Coeur d’Alene area.

Unlike some businesses, real estate can be pretty volatile. Home prices can fluctuate based on a host of factors, including mortgage interest rates, local crime rates, inflation, the local and national economic climate, and migration trends. In the last few years, the northern Idaho market has been especially affected by these factors, and this can make a real estate agent’s job pretty difficult. 

But Jim is nothing if not thorough. He is detail oriented when it comes to understanding the local real estate market, and he goes the extra mile to make sure that the prices he recommends for sellers, and the prices offered by his buyers, are spot-on. He relies heavily on the combined experience and expertise of his fellow agents at The Legacy Group, and spends his time carefully researching the local real estate market on an ongoing basis. He is conscientious about the fact that what he does can have a material impact on his client’s lives.

Even though real estate is Jim’s current career, he has a rich personal life, as well, built on a strong foundation of family and faith. He and his wife of 47 years, with whom he raised five sons, improve their home together, stay fit, go boating on Lake Coeur d’Alene, and derive tremendous joy from their five grandchildren. When Jim is not having a ball showing his classic car or collecting stamps, he sings tenor with a local chorale group, Chorale Coeur d’Alene, and you can catch him at one of their quarterly concerts. He also shares his singing talents at his church, where he is deeply involved as a reader and with its hospitality activities.
