Staff Spotlight: Shanann Bragg, ABR

If you are not familiar with the real estate profession, you might not know a common “code” that agents use to define their mission: ABC. It stands for Always Be Closing. The term is a reminder among real estate insiders that the key to keeping their business afloat and prosperous is closing home sales.

But for Shannan Bragg, ABC means something else: Always Be Caring. Because for Shanann, without the element of caring, you might just as well not bother working at all.

Shanann’s entire career has been focused on service. Before she got into real estate, she worked as a CPA, and then as a consultant for an organization that connected contract-based accounting professionals with companies that needed financial advice. Through it all, the focus of Shanann’s work was her clients: taking the time and effort to really identify what they needed, and then meeting those needs.

After several years in this capacity, she and her husband started investing in rental real estate, working with – you guessed it! – Seth Maefsky at the Legacy Group. Their first buying experience in the Spokane market was so positive, that when they decided to invest in another property seven years later, they called Seth again. As they concluded the second deal, that was the moment that Shanann had, as she says, an epiphany: she needed to change careers and go into real estate!

Shanann realized that what she really enjoyed was helping people, and real estate was a perfect vehicle for doing just that. Working with Seth helped her to see that one of the most rewarding ways to help people is to take a fairly difficult task, like finding just the right home, and make it smooth and easy by making all the moving parts fit seamlessly together. Add in the secret ingredient of really caring about your clients, and you have a recipe not just for success, but for true personal and professional satisfaction.

I believe that any individual who is referred to me has been introduced to my real estate business for a reason. I am meant to serve and help them. . . We need to be present, intentional and care for those around us and value the impact that we have on others and in this life. How can I help someone else? I can connect and care.”

Shanann is an Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR) which means she specializes in representing buyers, although she also represents sellers, as well. To make home buying a pleasant and stress-less experience for her clients, Shanann has to do a lot of work behind the scenes. Her CPA-trained mind is always honed in on details, schedules, and thoroughness. One thing Shanann’s clients never have to worry about is whether they will miss a task or a deadline, and you would be hard-pressed to find a client of hers that ever had a question that went unanswered. 

Of course, Shanann could not live up to her own high standards of client care if she did not have a team of hardworking, dedicated individuals behind her at the Legacy Group.
